Welcome to the Bedford Park District’s CPR page, where we are proud to offer high-quality CPR and first aid training to our community.
THE IMPORTANCE OF CPR TRAINING FOR OUR COMMUNITY
CPR, or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, is a crucial skill that every member of our community should know. It is a life-saving technique that can make all the difference in the event of a cardiac arrest, which can occur suddenly and without warning. When performed correctly, CPR can help restore the flow of oxygenated blood to the brain and other vital organs until medical help arrives.
Learning CPR not only benefits the individual who learns it but also has a positive impact on our entire community. By increasing the number of people trained in CPR, we create a safer community with a greater chance of survival in case of an emergency.
In addition to learning CPR, it is important to call 911 and get professional help as soon as possible in case of an emergency. CPR is an essential first step in responding to a cardiac arrest, but it is not a substitute for professional medical care.
